Meet Leayne
Leayne Dempsey is the CEO of Theatre Major. She's an international director, actor, acting coach,MD state certified teacher and Master Teacher, and proud theatre major. Leayne holds a B.A. in Theatre, B.A. in English, Master's in Education, and Master's in Mental Health Counseling specializing in Expressive Arts Therapy. Leayne's thesis, "Drama Therapy with Active Duty Service Members," has been published and presented at NYU's 2019 Theatre and Health Symposium.
Her coaching and unique process for developing college audition repertoire has helped many students receive full artistic scholarships to some of the world’s top higher education theatre programs. She also has extensive knowledge of dramatic texts that include diverse characters and content.
